SUNDAY SCHOOL
On behalf of the Sunday School, many thanks for the kind Christmas gifts that we distributed during the Christmas period to pastoral care, Carnbroe Home and the Salvation Army.
We also thank those who accompanied us to the Home on Sunday 19th December despite the extreme weather conditions.
The following letter has been received from the Salvation Army:
“Could you please pass on our thanks for the Christmas presents we received from Calder Church. We have used them the last few weeks we have been out with the soup kitchen.
These kind gestures mean such a lot to the folk we met, to let them know that others care.
They always appreciate all they receive.
Many thanks,
Diane Roberts

THE GUILD
I am sure you, like us, are hoping we have left the snow behind us, it is at least comforting to notice that the light afternoons are ‘stretching’.
February is a busy month for the Guild. On the 12th we are holding our Annual Coffee Afternoon followed on the 17th with a Beetle Drive. Tickets for both events are now on sale and we hope for your support.
On the 21st we have a talk and I think slides of Old Coatbridge, which will bring back old memories.
As usual a warm welcome for you to come along.
